    Hello, Chris,

Issues with main Window functions like audio after the system update are fairly common. There are multiple reasons why the problem might arise
There are many reasons why the problem is occurring, however, so some troubleshooting is mandatory to remediate the situation.

That being said, as a first fix, you should try using built-in troubleshooters for Audio and Windows Update. Here's how to do it:

    1. Right-click on the Start button and then select Settings
    2. Pick Update & Security section
    3. On the left menu, click Troubleshoot
    4. Click Playing Audio and then select Run the troubleshooter
    5. Repeat the same action for Windows Update

Windows should find the faults and point out how to fix them, in case it is not capable of doing it automatically.

You should also check if the selected output device is correct - simply right-click on the speaker icon at the bottom-right corner of your screen and choose Open Sound Settings. In there, pick the correct output device.
