Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of uGetFix.com (the "Site"), including all content, tools, features, and services offered through the Site. The Site is operated by UAB Elektroniniai Sprendimai, a company registered in the Republic of Lithuania (Enterprise ID: 135835566; VAT: LT100003235610), hereinafter referred to as "we", "us", or "the Company".

By accessing or using the Site in any way, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and UAB Elektroniniai Sprendimai. Your use of the Site — including browsing, registering an account, submitting content, using the URL scanner, or purchasing a membership — constitutes unconditional acceptance of these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Site after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Where changes are material, we will notify registered users by email.

2. Eligibility

To use the Site you must:

• Be at least 16 years of age. Users under 16 may not register an account or submit any personal information.
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under the law of your jurisdiction.
• Not be a person prohibited from receiving services under applicable laws (including EU sanctions lists).

By registering, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate, current, and complete.

3. Account Registration & Security

3.1 Registration

Certain features of the Site — including publishing guides, submitting problem reports, and casting validated votes — require a registered account. You agree to provide accurate registration information and to keep it up to date.

3.2 Account security

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.

3.3 One account per person

You may not create more than one account. Duplicate accounts may be suspended without notice.

3.4 Termination by us

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate any account at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for violations of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or conduct harmful to the Site or its community. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any paid membership fees, except as required by applicable law.

4. Membership Plans & Payments

4.1 Plans

uGetFix offers three membership tiers:

• Free — available to all registered users at no cost.
• Pro — €5.00 per month, billed monthly via Stripe.
• VIP — €29.00 per month, billed monthly via Stripe.

Features available under each tier are described on the membership page and are subject to change with reasonable notice.

4.2 Billing & payment processor

All paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your card details. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service. Prices are shown inclusive of any applicable VAT where required.

4.3 Automatic renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time via your account page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period and you retain access until then.

4.4 Refunds

We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. Where required by EU consumer protection law (14-day withdrawal right), refunds will be provided only if you have not accessed any paid-tier features after subscribing. To request a refund under this right, contact [email protected] within 14 days of your initial subscription.

4.5 Dofollow links

Dofollow author and article links are active only while a Pro or VIP subscription is active. Upon cancellation or downgrade, links revert to nofollow automatically.

4.6 Price changes

We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice. If you do not cancel before the new price takes effect, you accept the new price.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Site to:

• Post, upload, or transmit content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, fraudulent, threatening, or invasive of another's privacy.
• Infringe any intellectual property right of any person or entity.
• Distribute malware, spyware, viruses, or any other harmful or disruptive code.
• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Site without our express written permission, except as permitted by standard search engine indexing.
• Use the URL scanner tool to probe infrastructure you do not own or have explicit authorisation to test.
• Engage in spamming, phishing, or any deceptive practice.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site, its servers, or connected databases.
• Create accounts through automated means or use bots to post content, cast votes, or interact with other users.
• Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users or staff.
• Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with any security feature of the Site.
• Use the Site to promote competing services without our written consent.

We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and to remove content, suspend accounts, or refer matters to law enforcement where appropriate.

6. User-Generated Content

6.1 Your content, your responsibility

You retain ownership of any guides, comments, problem reports, votes, and other content you submit ("User Content"). You are solely responsible for your User Content and the consequences of publishing it.

6.2 License to us

By submitting User Content, you grant UAB Elektroniniai Sprendimai a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sublicensable, and transferable licence to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, and display your User Content on the Site and in promotional materials, for as long as your content remains on the Site.

6.3 Content standards

User Content must be accurate to the best of your knowledge, relevant to the technical topics covered by the Site, and must not violate any applicable law or third-party rights. We reserve the right to remove, edit, or refuse any User Content at our sole discretion, without notice or liability.

6.4 Validation & voting

"This fixed it" votes and validator roles are intended to reflect genuine user experience. Manipulating votes — including vote-trading, self-voting via multiple accounts, or paid voting arrangements — is strictly prohibited and may result in permanent account termination.

6.5 No obligation to store

We are not obligated to store, maintain, or back up your User Content. We recommend keeping copies of anything you publish.

7. URL Security Scanner

The URL safety scanner tool is provided free of charge as an informational aid. It cross-references submitted URLs against third-party threat intelligence feeds including VirusTotal, Google Safe Browsing, and URLhaus.

• No guarantee of accuracy. The scanner reflects data from third-party databases at the time of query. A "clean" result does not guarantee a URL is safe, and a "threat" result may occasionally reflect a false positive. Always exercise independent judgement before clicking any link.
• Not a security service. The scanner is not a substitute for antivirus software, endpoint protection, or professional security advice.
• Submitted URLs. URLs you submit are sent to third-party threat intelligence providers solely to return a verdict. Results are cached anonymously for 24 hours. We do not log submitted URLs against your identity. See our Privacy Policy for details.
• Authorised use only. You must not use the scanner to probe systems you do not own or have explicit authorisation to test.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Site content

All editorial content, design, graphics, logos, code, and compilation of content on the Site (excluding User Content) are owned by or licensed to UAB Elektroniniai Sprendimai and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws of the Republic of Lithuania and applicable international treaties.

8.2 Permitted use

You may access and view Site content for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not reproduce, republish, distribute, display, modify, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit any Site content without our prior written consent.

8.3 Trademarks

"uGetFix" and associated logos are trademarks of UAB Elektroniniai Sprendimai. You may not use our trademarks without our prior written permission.

8.4 Feedback

If you submit suggestions, feature requests, or other feedback to us, you grant us an irrevocable, perpetual, royalty-free right to use such feedback in any way, without any obligation to you.

9. Third-Party Services

The Site integrates with or links to third-party services including:

• Stripe — payment processing for Pro and VIP subscriptions.
• Brevo (Sendinblue) — email delivery and newsletter management.
• Google Analytics 4 — anonymised traffic analytics (consent-gated).
• VirusTotal / Google Safe Browsing / URLhaus — threat intelligence for the URL scanner.
• Cloudflare — CDN, DDoS protection, and performance services.

We are not responsible for the practices, content, or availability of third-party services. Links to external websites are provided for convenience only and do not constitute endorsement. Your interactions with third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

10. Affiliate & Commercial Relationships

uGetFix participates in affiliate programmes. Some links on the Site — including links to security software, VPN services, and other products — may be affiliate links through which we earn a commission if you make a purchase, at no additional cost to you.

Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial recommendations. We only recommend products we have independently evaluated as potentially useful. Each affiliate relationship is disclosed in accordance with FTC guidelines and applicable EU consumer protection law where such links appear.

Sponsored content, if published, is clearly labelled as such. Pro and VIP members who pitch products through the newsletter do so under terms agreed at the time of pitch approval; such pitches are marked as member-submitted.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT, TOOLS, AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:

• Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
• That guides, fixes, or technical instructions will resolve your specific problem, work on your specific hardware or software configuration, or be error-free.
• That the Site will be available, uninterrupted, or free from viruses or other harmful components.
• That any URL scanner result accurately reflects the current threat status of a submitted URL.
• The accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any content on the Site.

Technical guides are provided for informational purposes only. Following any guide is at your own risk. Always back up your data before making system changes.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, UAB Elektroniniai Sprendimai and its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, system damage, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total membership fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) €50.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Lithuanian or EU law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless UAB Elektroniniai Sprendimai and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:

• Your use of the Site or any service offered through it.
• Your User Content.
• Your violation of these Terms.
• Your violation of any applicable law or regulation.
• Your infringement of any third-party intellectual property or privacy rights.

14. DMCA & Copyright Claims

We respect intellectual property rights and expect users to do the same. If you believe that content on the Site infringes your copyright, please submit a written notice to our designated agent containing:

1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or their authorised representative.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
3. Identification of the material on the Site that is claimed to be infringing, with sufficient detail to locate it.
4. Your contact information (name, address, telephone, email).
5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf.

Send DMCA notices to: [email protected] (Subject: "DMCA Notice"). We will process valid notices promptly. Repeated infringers will have their accounts terminated.

Counter-notifications: if you believe content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice to the same address with the information required under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g).

15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Lithuania and applicable European Union legislation, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Vilnius, Lithuania, except where mandatory EU consumer protection law grants you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.

If you are an EU consumer, you may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

16. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. The date of the most recent revision appears at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide at least 14 days' notice to registered users via email before the new Terms take effect. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must cease using the Site and may delete your account.

Your continued use of the Site after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
