I’ve downloaded Windows 10 Media Creation tool, but when trying to run it, I receive an error 0xc180010c-0xa0019. Could someone guys please help? I’m running Windows 7 currently, but want to upgrade to Windows 10. Thanks.

How to Fix Error Code 0xc180010c-0xa0019 on Windows?

If you are encountering the same issue, then, first of all, check if your USB device has enough free space (at least 4GB). If the storage is sufficient, then you should try to disable your anti-virus. There’s no secret that anti-virus software tends to conflict with other programs, so click on its icon on the taskbar and select Disable. Don’t forget to terminate its process/-es via Task Manager before that. If disabling anti-virus did not solve the problem, try to disable all peripherals from your PC/laptop leaving only a mouse and keyboard plugged in. Then try to download Windows 10 Media Creation tool and save it to your device. Tip 1. Perform a Clean Boot

Windows 7:

• Log on to the administrator account.

Tip 2. Run Registry Editor

• Click Start and type regedit in the search box.
• Select Registry Editor.
• Using the left pane, navigate to the following location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\OSUpgrade.
• Right-click on the right side of the window and go to New -> DWORD (32-bit) value.
• Rename the value to AllowOSUpgrade.
• Double-click on the newly created value and change its value to 1 with the hexadecimal base.
• Close Registry Editor and try to install Windows 10 Media Creation Tool again.
