When I use Google Chrome, I usually receive a DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NO_INTERNET error. However, internet works fine for all other devices. How to fix this issue?

Method 1. Flush DNS settings and perform Winsock reset

1. Enter cmd in Windows search box and right-click Command Prompt in the list.
2. Choose Run as administrator option.
   

   

3. When in Command Prompt, type the following commands and click enter after each of them:
   ipconfig /release
   ipconfig /all
   ipconfig /flushdns
   ipconfig /renew
   
   netsh int ip set dns
   netsh winsock reset
   
   
4. Restart your computer and check if it helped to fix dns_probe_finished_no_internet error on Windows. If not, try the second option.

Method 2. Change TCP/IP4 Proxy

1. Access Network Connections by right-clicking Windows logo in the right bottom corner.
2. When in Network connections, right-click on your active Network connection and choose Properties.
3. Choose Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click Properties.
4. Under Use the following DNS server addresses option set these values:
   Preferred DNS Server: 8.8.8.8
   Alternate DNS Server: 8.8.4.4
   

   

   
   
5. Click OK to save the changes.

Method 3. Update Network drivers

If the previous two methods did not help to fix DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NO_INTERNET error, the problem might be related to outdated drivers. Therefore, you have to update them by following these steps:

1. Open Run window by clicking Windows key + R.
2. In the Run window, type devmgmt.msc and click OK.
   

   

3. When in Device Manager, expand the list of Network Adapters.
4. Right-click on your network adapters and choose Update Driver Software option.
   
   

   

5. Click Browse my computer for driver software option.
6. Choose Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.
7. Select the network hardware which is compatible with your device and click Next.
8. Wait until the update process is over and check if the problem is fixed.
