Make a full backup copy of your Windows 10 using System Image Backup

I was wondering if it is possible to backup all of the Windows 10 OS at once? Or can this be done only with individual folders or files? If it is possible I hope this is not an overly complex procedure. I’m not very good with this new OS just yet.

But Microsoft has introduced an integrated image backup option that can be used to backup your whole computer system. This involves operating system information, its settings, programs and files, and of course, your personal data. With such a backup in store, you can be safe that any piece of the information will be lost to malicious ransomware viruses or disappear due to some other misfortunes. So how does this image backup work?

How to backup your data using System Image Backup function?

By following these instructions, you should successfully backup your files without interrupting any work you might have to perform on your computer. The whole process can last you from 10 minutes up to 2 hours, depending on the amount of data that need to be processed.

1. First of all, you should go to your start menu and open Control Panel.
2. Then, go to the File History.
3. In the new window find System Image Backup. You should see on the bottom-left side of the window.
4. Make sure that before proceeding to the next step, plug in a USB drive or external hard drive to your computer. Make sure it has enough space to accommodate all the data.
5. In the backup wizard settings, choose the device to which you want to save your data.
6. Click Next.
7. When you are sure everything is set up, you can initiate the Start backup process.
