Error 0x80D03805 means Delivery Optimization, the Windows service that downloads Store apps and updates, paused the download because it lost the network. Microsoft names it DO_E_BLOCKED_BY_NO_NETWORK. Keep the PC on a steady connection with no VPN, then restart the download services.

What error 0x80D03805 means

Microsoft Store and Windows Update do not download files themselves. They hand the job to Delivery Optimization, a Windows service (DoSvc) that fetches the files from Microsoft and, if allowed, from other PCs. When that service has to stop, it returns a code from its own range, 0x80D0xxxx.

1. Open Settings > Network & internet and check that the top says Connected (Windows 10: Settings > Network & Internet > Status).
2. If you can, plug in a network cable, or move closer to the router. Turn off airplane mode and other Wi-Fi networks that the PC may jump to.
3. Plug in the charger, so the PC does not sleep or save power during the download.
4. Restart the modem and the router if pages load slowly or stop: unplug them for 30 seconds.

Fix 2. Turn off the VPN, proxy and DNS filter for the download

Delivery Optimization must reach Microsoft's hosts, and Microsoft names *.do.dsp.mp.microsoft.com as the most important one. A VPN that reconnects, a proxy or a filter that blocks these hosts looks to the service like a lost network.

1. Disconnect the VPN app, and quit it from the taskbar's hidden icons.
2. Open Settings > Network & internet > Proxy (Windows 10: Settings > Network & Internet > Proxy).
3. Under Manual proxy setup, check that Use a proxy server is off, unless your workplace set it.
4. If you use a DNS filter or a router ad blocker, pause it or allow *.do.dsp.mp.microsoft.com and *.dl.delivery.mp.microsoft.com.
5. Try the download again in Microsoft Store.
6. When it has finished, turn the VPN, proxy or filter back on.

Fix 3. Restart Delivery Optimization and the Store's install service

Fix 4. Clear the Delivery Optimization cache and turn off downloads from other PCs

Delivery Optimization keeps parts of downloads in its own cache and can fetch pieces from other PCs. Clearing the cache starts the file from scratch, and turning off other PCs makes Windows download only from Microsoft, which takes peers out of the test.

1. Windows 11: open Settings > Windows Update > Advanced options > Delivery Optimization. Windows 10: Settings > Update & Security > Delivery Optimization.
2. Turn off Allow downloads from other devices (Windows 10: Allow downloads from other PCs).
3. Open Settings > System > Storage > Temporary files (Windows 10: Settings > System > Storage, then Temporary files).
4. Tick only Delivery Optimization Files and select Remove files.

Fix 5. Reset the network settings

Delivery Optimization trusts what Windows reports about the network. Damaged DNS, Winsock or adapter settings can make Windows report a lost connection that the browser hides, so downloads pause.

1. Open an elevated command window. Right-click Start and select Terminal (Admin), or type cmd in the search box, right-click Command Prompt and select Run as administrator. Select Yes when Windows asks for permission.

   

2. Flush the DNS cache. Type the command below and press Enter. Windows forgets the website addresses it looked up earlier and asks for them again.

   ipconfig /flushdns

3. Reset Winsock. Type the command below and press Enter. It returns the Windows sockets catalog to its default state.

   netsh winsock reset

   

4. Reset TCP/IP. Type the command below and press Enter. If you entered an IP address or DNS server by hand, note it first: you may need to enter it again.

   netsh int ip reset

5. Get a new IP address. Run these two commands one after the other. The connection drops for a moment between them.

   ipconfig /release
   ipconfig /renew

6. Restart the PC. Restart Windows so the Winsock and TCP/IP resets take effect, then test the connection. If it still does not work, continue with the network reset below.
7. Open Network reset. Open Settings > Network & internet > Advanced network settings and select Network reset.

   

8. Reset now. Select Reset now, then Yes to confirm. Windows removes and reinstalls all network adapters and restarts the PC.

   

9. Reconnect. After the restart, connect to your Wi-Fi network again (you will need its password) and reinstall or reconfigure VPN software if it stopped working.

Fix 6. Clear and reset Microsoft Store

The Store keeps its own cache and list of downloads. If that list holds a job that was paused, new requests can queue behind it. wsreset clears the cache, and Repair or Reset gives the Store a fresh start; purchases stay in your Microsoft account.

1. Clear the Store cache. Press Windows + R, type wsreset.exe and select OK. A blank Command Prompt window opens; after a short while it closes and Microsoft Store opens by itself.

   

2. Open System components. If the problem stays, select Start > Settings > System > System components. Next to Microsoft Store, select the three dots and Advanced options. If Microsoft Store is not listed there, look for it in Settings > Apps > Installed apps.

   

3. Repair first. Scroll to Reset and select Repair. Repair keeps the app's data. Open the Store and check whether it works.

1. Open Command Prompt as administrator. Type cmd in the search box, right-click Command Prompt and select Run as administrator. Select Yes when Windows asks for permission.
2. Stop the update services. Type the commands below and press Enter after each one. If Windows says that other services depend on Cryptographic Services, it stops them too. A message that a service is not started is fine.

3. Delete the download queue files. This clears the list of downloads that the Background Intelligent Transfer Service keeps. If Windows says it cannot find the files, continue.

Delivery Optimization, the Store and Windows Update are parts of Windows. If their system files are damaged, they can misreport the network. DISM and SFC repair those files; a repair install replaces them and keeps your apps and files.

1. Open an elevated command window. Right-click Start and select Terminal (Admin), or type cmd in the search box, right-click Command Prompt and select Run as administrator. Select Yes when Windows asks for permission.
2. Run DISM first. Type the command below and press Enter. DISM downloads clean copies of damaged components from Windows Update, so it can take several minutes. Wait until it says The operation completed successfully.

3. Run System File Checker. In the same window, type the command below and press Enter. Do not close the window until the verification reaches 100%.

If 0x80D03805 is still there: read the Delivery Optimization log and what to send to support

The Store and Windows Update show only the code. Delivery Optimization writes its own log, and Microsoft offers a troubleshooter for it. Both tell you whether the service could reach Microsoft at all.

1. Right-click Start and select Terminal (Admin) (Windows 10: Windows PowerShell (Admin)).
2. Run Get-DeliveryOptimizationStatus while a download runs. Look at DownloadMode and Status.
3. Run Get-DeliveryOptimizationLog | Where-Object Level -eq 2 | Select-Object -Last 20 to see the last errors with their time.
4. Run Microsoft's Delivery Optimization Troubleshooter from https://aka.ms/do-fix with the -HealthCheck switch. It checks whether the PC can talk to the service.

• Test another network: a phone hotspot is enough. If the download works there, the cause is your router, provider, VPN or filter, not Windows.
