    Hello Joyce,

BitLocker is a safe built-in tool used to encrypt data to protect it from unauthorized access. If you are completely sure that the flash drive is safe for work (to make sure, simply scan it with anti-malware software), you can connect it t your MacBook without any concerns and use it as required.

Note that some Windows files might be used by malware to infect Macs, as in shown by this article: https://www.2-spyware.com/windows-exe-file-used-to-infect-macs-with-data-stealing-malware. So please use caution regardless if the files located on the drive are Windows files.

Thanks very much for your answer. The truth is, my boss asked me to encrypt the USB flash drive with BitLocker on my work computer. Later I found that I couldn't open the USB drive on my home computer MacBook. When I opened it, all I got is a "BitLockerToGo.exe" and a "Read Me.url" file. Finally, I realized that BitLocker is not supported on Mac OS X. So each time I had to turn off the BitLocker before I took the USB flash drive home. That's really troublesome. I wonder if there is any way to open BitLocker encrypted USB flash drive on MacBook.
