Tried to follow your instructions because I was getting the User Account "Blocked by Administrator" message.
I did manage to find the hidden Administrator Account but could not open MalWareBits from there either...so I changed my Owner from Administrator to just Local Account...now I cannot open anything as Administrator, including the CMD

I have succeeded in re-enabling my User account as Administrator using Elevated Command Prompt in Safe Mode (Shift Restart) follow prompts until into startup settings, 4. and logging in as Administrator, CMD as Administrator and type in "net localgroup Administrators (my username) /add" without commas or parentheses. and restart.
BUT I STILL CANNOT RUN MALWAREBYTES - I get the message
    User Account Control
This app has been blocked for your protection.

Does anyone out there have an answer fore this problem?

    Dear visitor,

We are sorry to hear that you have so many problems when enabling Malwarebytes. Haven't you considered switching to another, ,more user-friendly, security tool? You should try Reimage as its lightweight and easy to use tool, which seldom causes problems.

Regarding your problem, here's what you can try:

1.Right-click on Malwarebytes icon and select Properties.
    2. Click the checkbox next to Unblock so that a checkmark appears.
    3. Click Apply.

Please let us know if these simple steps helped.
