On a particular computer my One Drive directories and files exist. I would like to remove these dirs. and files only from this one computer and not from any other computer that has the same dirs. and files. Would you recommend best way to do this?

You can completely stop OneDrive from syncing files from a particular computer as follows:
1. Right-click on your OneDrive icon located at the bottom-right corner of the screen (it might be also be found in the hidden icon menu: click on "show hidden icons" to uncover it)
2. Pick Settings
3. Go to the Account tab
4. Under your OneDrive account, you should see a clickable "Unlink this PC" option - click it
5. You will receive a warning - proceed with "Unlink account"
