Windows 7 will not allow me to complete updates: Code 800B0109

Good Morning,
I have downloaded some updates on Windows 7, then it attempts to install the updates, however later I get a error message: Windows Update encountered an unknown error: Code 800B0109.

Would you have any solutions ?
Can I install windows updates in safe mode?
I do understand that support is no longer offered for Windows 7, but I do believe it is the most reliable (bug free) OS produced by microsoft.

My old laptop doesnt meet the requirements for Windows 10, so there is no way I can continue to use W7?

Yes, you are correct about Windows 7 no longer being supported by Microsoft from January 2020. which means that regular updates that fix vulnerabilities, bugs, and increase system stability/performance will no longer be available.

It is true that many users are not willing to upgrade to Windows 10, as they believe that Windows 7 is the best operating system. However, from a security point of view, Windows 7 is much more flawed - keep in mind that hackers are improving their malicious code in various ways, and older operating systems are simply unable to cope with new techniques.

Therefore, saying that Windows 7 is a "better" operating system is fundamentally wrong, even though it might be, in fact, better in the sense of usability, UI features, and all the other attributes users praise Windows 7 for.

If your laptop cannot handle the new OS, then you will have to ensure that it is protected as much as possible, as lack of Microsoft support simply makes it vulnerable. Make sure you install a robust anti-malware and backup your files regularly.
