Issue: How to recover data from erased hard drive?
Could you pleas guys advice how to restore data from a damaged hard drive? Actually, I’ve recently erased all data from it, which has been extremely valuable for me. Please help ASAP!
The experience you are going through now probably is familiar for most of us. Hard drives are certainly not the safest place for important data and that’s why people are urged to backup photos, documents, videos, and other personal files that are most important. If you have never done backups before, then we highly recommend you to use USB external drive, CD’s, DVD’s, cloud storage, such as DropBox or another alternate storage that comes to your mind.
Unfortunately, we can say in advance that data recover from erased/damaged hard drive is not possible manually; therefore, you will have either to use data recovery software or pay a big sum of money for data recovery service.
To start with, if you only guess that you have removed data from your hard drive, then we highly recommend you to check if it’s not broken first (unless you are hundred percent sure that you have accidentally erased all data). If you notice broken pins or other signs of damage, then you should take your hard drive to the professional technicians without any doubts.
In case you hard drive is OK, then try to connect it to another computer in case the problem is not the drive itself or intervention of another software or virus. If after all it turns out that your hard drive is Ok except the data has been removed accidentally, then the only thing that can help you is data recovery software.
NOTE: as soon as you remove important data from a hard drive, stop using it in order to prevent data overwriting that would result in further damage. The biggest risk is to download something on it!
There are lots of offers of data recovery software on the Internet. However, it’s very important to select an appropriate one if you want to recover as much data as possible. We highly recommend using Data Recovery Pro as it is capable of recovering a wide variety of files from different kinds of storages, including cameras, iPods, MP3 players, flash drives, hard drives and so on. Besides, it’s user-friendly, allow to preview files before restoring them, allows to sort files into certain categories and so on. Generally speaking, it offers a full pack of services that make data recovery an easy task.
All in all, if it turns out that data recovery software is not capable or restoring erased data due to physical hard drive damage or if the data has been overwritten, then do not waste your time. Prepare a considerable amount of money and take your broken hard drive to professional technicians that will do the best they can. Good luck!
