Microsoft Edge is too big for my screen and it’s fuzzy, so I uploaded Google Chrome. But I can’t get the Edge Search bar off my screen. Can I do that? and how?

You can have an issue with the search bar of the particular web browser due to an unwanted program or cyber infection. Especially when you have no idea where the search bar came from and how to fix it. This is possibly a PUP issue, not the browsers'.

If you don't need the Microsoft Edge browser anymore, you can freely just use the Chrome and uninstall the Edge since it causes issues for your device. You can also check the settings of the Microsoft Edge to make sure that no alterations are made there.
Or the other method is cleaning the system fully with an anti-malware tool or a system optimizer which is capable of checking the machine for PUPs and fixing possible system errors.
Good luck
