My cursor keeps clicking by itself. Even when I disconnect my mouse from my computer, it’ll still click by itself for a few minutes before stopping.
I’ve tried all kinds of fixes for this problem, but none of them have worked. I’ve tried updating my mouse driver, updating my windows 10, checking for things like teamviewer, checking for malware. My keyboard also types random things like “898+++—“, which it typed just now. It’s really hard to use my computer when my mouse and keyboard have a mind of their own. I’ve also tried switching out my mouse for a different one, but it didn’t work. Is there anything more I can do?
Please check all the solutions we suggest in our How to fix mouse if it’s clicking by itself on Windows 10? article first. In none of the methods help you, you there are few other things you could.
Primarily, we would like you to check hardware, and this time, you should replace your keyboard temporarily to exclude hardware problems once and for all.
If the issue persists even with a replaced mouse and keyboard, we suggest you perform System Restore. You should pick a time before when the issues began:
1. Press Win + R simultaneously
2. Type in rstrui.exe, press Enter and select Next
3. Select a restore point with a known good system configuration
4. Pick Next and press Finish
If that does not help, reset Windows:
1. Right-click on Start button and pick Settings.
2. Select Update & Security from the list and access Recovery.
3. In the Reset This PC section, click Get Started.
4. Choose Keep my files.
5. Proceed with on-screen instructions.
Good luck,
