Hi,
I tried all three methods that you suggested, I was even able to add the “Everyone” in the Audit window. But my files keep being encrypted, and I keep receiving the 0x80071771 error. What can I do?

We are sorry to hear that the solution methods we provided in 0x80071771 error fix guide did not work for you. There are a couple of other things you might try, however.
First of all, we strongly suggest you use PC repair software Reimage - it might help you get rid of most of the Windows-related errors automatically.
Also, you should check if you folder you are having troubles with is not set to read-only mode:
• Right-click on the folder you are trying to access and select Properties
• Go to General tab and check if "Read-only" option is marked. If so, make sure you remove the tick (need Administrator rights)
• Click Apply and then select OK
