Issue: How to Disable Browser Choice Pop-Up?
Could someone please tell me how to get rid of browser choice pop up? Whenever I click on the link to a website, a pop-up message shows up where I have to select which web browser to use. - Right-click on the browserchoice.exe file and select Edit.
- Then click Add and type your user name.
Method 3. Run an Elevated Command Prompt
- Click Win key + X and select Command Prompt (Admin).
- Type wusa.exe /uninstall /kb:976002 and press Enter.
- Close Command Prompt and open your web browser to check if the pop-up is gone.
Method 4. Reset registry settings
- Click Win key + X and select Command Prompt (Admin).
- Type reg add HKLM\Software\BrowserChoice /v Enable /t and REG_DWORD /d 0×00000000 /f commands and press Enter after each of them.
- Close the window and the Browser Choice notification shouldn’t show up again.
